Wall Quilts Award Winner

1983 The fabric for Fanfare Variant was pieced together by hand, then the quilting was hand-stitched. The various squares and triangles created a fan shaped design.

Fanfare Variant won the People’s Choice Award in the Wall Quilts category at the Bayberry Quilters of Cape Cod Quilt Show in 1983, the year she moved from Connecticut to Cape Cod. At this point in time Frances had made about 20 quilts, most of which were given to her children and grandchildren.
